2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or submitting an enquiry or watch for service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use this website or engage our services.
Use of our services is restricted to individuals aged 18 and above, or persons of full legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Malaysian law. By submitting a watch for service, you represent that you are the lawful owner of that timepiece or are otherwise authorised to submit it.
3. Service Description
Saksama Masa provides specialist horological services in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, including:
- Mechanical Calibre Service — movement disassembly, cleaning, lubrication and regulation
- Crystal & Gasket Renewal — crystal replacement and pressure testing
- Premium Restoration Programme — comprehensive service for watches requiring extended attention
Services are available to clients in Malaysia. We do not currently offer postal intake for watches. All timepieces must be submitted in person at our Kuala Lumpur workshop or by prior arrangement. Service availability is subject to workload and parts availability.
4. User Responsibilities
When using our website or engaging our services, you agree to the following:
- To provide accurate information in all correspondence and intake forms
- Not to submit watches to which you do not have lawful title or authority
- Not to use our website in any manner that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful to others
- Not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems or infrastructure
- Not to reproduce, scrape, or systematically extract content from our website without permission

5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, service descriptions, design elements, photography, illustrations, and the Saksama Masa name and identity — is the property of Saksama Masa and is protected under Malaysian copyright and intellectual property law.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and view this content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, display, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.
Condition reports, service records, and photographic documentation produced during a service engagement are prepared for the client's reference and may not be shared publicly without permission.
6. Payment Terms
All prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of labour unless otherwise noted. Parts and materials required beyond the standard service scope will be quoted separately before work proceeds.
Current Service Pricing
Payment is due in full upon collection of the completed watch. We accept cash and major credit and debit cards. Payment plans are not currently offered unless arranged in writing prior to the commencement of work.
In the event that a client elects not to proceed with a service following the intake assessment, a diagnostic fee may apply to cover the cost of preliminary inspection work already undertaken.
Watches not collected within ninety days of completion notice, following reasonable attempts to contact the owner, may be subject to a storage charge. We will not dispose of any watch without written notification and a further waiting period.
7. Service-Specific Terms
Timeline Commitments
Estimated timelines provided at intake are indicative, not contractual. Delays may arise from parts availability, the discovery of additional wear during disassembly, or workshop demand. We will communicate any significant change to the expected timeline in writing.
Client Consultation
For the Premium Restoration Programme, all major decisions — particularly those involving non-reversible work such as case refinishing or component replacement — will be confirmed in writing with the client before proceeding. No significant deviation from the agreed scope will be undertaken without explicit written approval.
Condition & Liability for Submitted Watches
A condition photograph is taken at intake for all watches. Where a watch is found to be in a condition significantly different from what was described at the time of enquiry, we reserve the right to revise the quoted service scope or price. Clients will be informed before any additional work proceeds.
Parts & Materials
Where manufacturer or manufacturer-equivalent parts are unavailable, we will consult with the client on appropriate alternatives before sourcing. We do not use parts we consider unsuitable for the watch's quality standard without the client's agreement.
8. Disclaimers
Our website and its content are provided for informational purposes. While we take care to ensure accuracy, we make no representation that information on the site is current, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Horological servicing involves technical work on mechanical or electronic components. While we apply thorough care to every piece, we cannot warrant particular outcomes, particularly for watches that have experienced significant prior damage, improper servicing, or extended storage without maintenance. We will communicate our honest assessment following intake inspection.
Nothing on this website constitutes professional advice on the valuation, insurance, or investment potential of any timepiece.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Saksama Masa's total liability for any claim arising from a service engagement shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for that specific service.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from use of this website or from the service of a watch, including but not limited to sentimental value, inconvenience, or loss of use.
Force majeure events — including natural disasters, supply chain disruption, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control — may affect our ability to fulfil services within expected timelines and will not constitute a breach of these Terms.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Saksama Masa and its personnel from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misrepresentation of ownership of a submitted watch, or your use of this website in a manner contrary to applicable law.
11. Termination
Either party may elect not to proceed with a service before work has commenced, without penalty. Once work has begun, cancellation by the client may result in a partial charge for labour and materials already expended.
We reserve the right to decline to accept a watch for service, or to decline further work on a watch already in our care, where circumstances make continuation inadvisable. In such cases, we will return the watch in the condition in which it was received and will not charge for incomplete work unless a diagnostic assessment has been conducted.
12. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from our services will first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties.
If informal resolution is not achieved within thirty days, either party may refer the dispute to mediation through the Malaysian Mediation Centre before commencing formal legal proceedings.
The courts of Malaysia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that proceeds to litigation.
13. General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any service quotation or written intake record, constitute the complete agreement between you and Saksama Masa regarding the subject matter covered.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full effect.
Waiver
Failure by Saksama Masa to enforce any provision of these Terms on a particular occasion does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it in the future.
Assignment
You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
14. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our website or services following any such update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
For service engagements already in progress at the time of an update, the Terms in effect at the time of intake will govern that engagement unless otherwise agreed in writing.
